Terms
Terms of Service
These are the rules for using Social Universe. Please read them before you create an account.
Beta version — last updated 30 October 2026. Social Universe is in public beta. This page describes how the service works today. Some points are still under legal review: each is marked “Under legal review” and says how to reach us until it is completed. The text may change; each new version is published here with its date.
English is the source version of this page. It will be translated only after the English text has been approved.
Who you are agreeing with
These Terms are an agreement between you and Zebedee Korie Nig LTD, a company registered in Nigeria under registration number RC1729997 (“we”, “us”), which operates Social Universe. Social Universe is operated by Zebedee Ejike Korie.
Under legal review: the company’s registered address. It will be published here once it is confirmed; until then, contact us through the contact form (/contact/).
Accepting these Terms
By creating an account or using the members area you accept these Terms, the Community Guidelines (/community-guidelines/) and the rules shown inside each feature. The privacy notice (/privacy/) and the Cookie Policy (/cookies/) explain how we use personal data.
Under legal review: how your acceptance is recorded at sign-up (the sign-up form does not yet ask you to tick a box) and how changes to these Terms take effect for existing members. Until the review is complete, every change is published on this page with its date.
Who can use Social Universe
You give the month and year you were born when you sign up. The sign-up refuses anyone below the minimum age set by the platform: 13 by default (the setting allows 13 to 18). Members under 18 are treated as teens and get stronger protections: for example, their posts go to friends by default, only their friends can follow or mention them, and adults they do not know cannot contact them freely.
Under legal review: whether parental consent is needed for teens in any country, and which countries Social Universe is offered in. Until the review is complete, if you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian before you join.
Your account
Use your own details, keep your password and sign-in codes secret, and tell us through the contact form if you think someone else has used your account. You can turn on two-step sign-in and see and end your sessions in Settings. One person, one account: do not create accounts to get around a block or a suspension.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. You allow us to store it, show it to the audience you choose and keep the copies needed to run, secure and back up the service. You can delete your posts and your account at any time. Copies in backups are deleted as the backups expire, normally within 90 days; a snapshot taken before a release can be kept longer, until it is deleted.
Only post what you have the right to post, and follow the Community Guidelines. If something on Social Universe breaks your rights, use “Report” on it or the contact form.
Under legal review: the exact licence you give us for your content, and a formal procedure for copyright and other legal complaints. Until the review is complete, send such complaints through the contact form (/contact/).
Marketplace, business pages and events
Sales in the marketplace are between the buyer and the seller. Orders are “Cash and Carry”: you pay the seller directly, and Social Universe does not receive, hold or refund money. Event organisers who charge are paid directly by the guests. We can remove listings, record a decision on a dispute and restrict selling, but no money moves through Social Universe.
Under legal review: responsibility for goods, services and events offered by members, the consumer-protection rules that apply to sellers, and the dispute process for marketplace orders. Until the review is complete, report a problem with an order, a listing or an event with “Report” or the contact form.
Universe Credit (UC)
UC is an internal reward credit. It cannot be bought with money or exchanged for money, it is not a currency and it has no cash value. Cash redemption, paying for marketplace orders with UC and UC games are switched off in the code. Sending UC to other members is off by default. Every UC movement is recorded in a ledger that cannot be silently rewritten. When you delete your account, your UC balance goes back to the platform’s UC Treasury.
Under legal review: whether UC can expire or be removed (for example after misuse), what happens to UC if the service ends, and whether any UC feature needs a licence or approval in any country before it is switched on. These features stay switched off until that review is done.
What is not allowed
Breaking the law, harming others, harassment, spam, impersonation, collecting other members’ data, attacking or overloading the service, getting around blocks, limits or protections, and anything else listed in the Community Guidelines.
Moderation, suspension and termination
We can remove content and suspend or restrict accounts that break these Terms or the Community Guidelines. Members can report posts, messages, listings and events; moderators review reports, and their decisions are recorded. There is no appeal process in the product yet: if you think a decision about you is wrong, tell us through the contact form.
You can stop using Social Universe and delete your account at any time from Settings, then Account.
Under legal review: notice periods, and when we may close an account. Until the review is complete, ask us through the contact form about any decision on your account.
Availability of the service
Social Universe is in public beta. Features may change, be switched off or be unavailable during maintenance, and you may meet errors. We do not promise that the service will always be available or free of errors.
Under legal review: the limits of our liability and any exclusions. Until the review is complete, nothing on this page sets such limits.
Governing law and disputes
Under legal review: which country’s law applies to these Terms and which courts are competent. Until the review is complete, contact us first with any complaint, as described below.
Under legal review: how disputes are resolved (for example mediation or arbitration) and how consumers in other countries are treated. Until the review is complete, if you have a complaint, contact us first through the contact form (/contact/) and we will try to resolve it with you.
Changes to these Terms
When these Terms change, the new version is published on this page with its date. Beta version, last updated 30 October 2026.
